In October, the Impact investment community under the GIIN met in the Hague for a two-day conference to discuss the market's current status - and the continued road plan ahead.
Seeing the effort and dedication of hundreds of impact initiatives was heartwarming and inspiring.
At the same time, looking around at the audience, with so few from my network and the investment community, it was a rather lonely experience. From being at conferences when you recognise almost everyone in the room and have "the whole market" meeting at one spot - that was not the case here. If Impact investing is becoming increasingly part of the norm, how do we break the silos within the financial industry?
